Hurricane Sandy came a lot harder than anyone expected. With 90mph winds, the super storm devastated the lives of hundreds of thousands of our neighbors as over 7.5 million power outages destroyed the city’s streets.
In the upcoming weeks, New York cannot forget the damage that has been done. 100% of RBLD NY profits will go directly to the Robin Hood Foundation’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, an organization that all of us work extremely close with. Robin Hood, a not for profit organization that targets poverty in New York City, finds, funds, and partners with the most effective programs in order to maximize results. As the largest poverty fighting organization in NYC, over the past 25 years Robin Hood has distributed over $1.1 billion in grants to organizations around the city we love to call home.
But we are not only asking for money; our mission is greater than fundraising. These shirts are meant to remind one another that the effort cannot stop after the immediate relief.
